Park South Hotel - JDV by Hyatt

I had a wonderful experience at Park South Hotel, thanks largely to the outstanding staff. From the moment I arrived, Chiffon at the front desk set the tone for my entire stay. She was incredibly pleasant and professional, providing me with rooftop vouchers and accommodating all my requests with genuine care. That warm first impression made all the difference. Mohammad, the door ambassador, was equally impressive; courteous, professional, and a true lifesaver when I needed to arrange airport transportation at a reasonable price. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a stress-free departure. Even Ali, the transportation driver, was a delight to chat with during the ride. It's rare to encounter such consistently excellent service, but the entire team at Park South Hotel exceeded my expectations. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made my stay truly memorable. Highly recommend!

This hotel is located in an excellent area. It’s busy but close enough to many landmarks and a grocery store, pharmacy, and multiple coffee shops and restaurants are nearby. The rooms are small but for NY standards, not bad at all. I was very impressed by Mohamed. How showed excellent client service, attention to detail & went above and beyond! I would stay here again.

The hotel was better than I anticipated. The rooms were tastefully designed and clean; the staff was warm and welcoming; and it was wildly convenient to either walk to the sites or take the subway. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast in the morning, but it was well explained that it existed. I felt safe traveling solo and adored how the hotel was tucked away from the noise, sandwiched between a bagel shop and an Indian restaurant (which also has good reviews!) Would stay here again!

Overall a good hotel for a holiday to New York. Wouldn’t class as luxury but is a strong 4/5. Nice hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff and nice rooms (although quite small). Cons: Small room size, no real view and room service very slow.

Boutique style hotel in a quieter area of Midtown Manhattan but still close to walk to many attractions, especially The Empire State and the Flat Iron area. Very friendly and helpful staff who seem genuinely interested in welcoming you when returning after a day out sightseeing. Beds are supremely comfortable. Our room at the back had noise issues from the street, particularly with bins being collected between 5am to 7am some mornings. Nice coffee shop and bar areas plus a nice, but small lounge area with open fire. Food in coffee shop was expensive. We didn't try the restaurant as there were plenty of places to eat in the immediate area. Would stay again but pick a room at the front and maybe a high floor.

Loved our visit! Stayed 3 nights over New Year's week. The room was spacious (for NY) and modern looking. The bed was comfy and THE PILLOWS were large and fluffy! Would have taken them if I could've fit them in my suitcase. LOL All the staff were so friendly, from front desk, to the doormen. They greeted and remembered us each day. Rooms were cleaned and restocked each day. (Less expensive hotels just don't do that anymore, so this was a pleasant surprise. )Free wine in the evening, free coffee in the morning. Smallish lobby, but plenty of seating in many different places down there. It had a very cozy library/electric fireplace nook where we ate our breakfast each morning. They have a little breakfast cafe, a dinner restaurant, and a rooftop bar. Subway stops on each corner of our street. Checkout was noon. They held our luggage as we had a late flight. They provided a car service to the airport, that was cheaper than Lyft! My friend left her phone in the car, and the hotel/car service made sure it got to her in time for our flight. We stayed in a different hotel in zchelsea on our ladt visit. This was so much better. I'd definitely recommend Park South and would stay there again.

Great value for the price. What really stands out is the excellent service provided by the employees. Rooms are NY small, but clean and adequate. Public spaces were surprisingly comfortable and I really appreciated free coffee in their coffee shop. I'm so glad I ditched Marriott Bonvoy for Hyatt. Their properties are just so much more pleasant.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to the door ambassador, Chuck Norris, who went above and beyond for us throughout our entire stay. He treated us so well, always greeting us with a smile, anticipating our needs, and making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. His attention to detail and kindness truly made our experience unforgettable. The hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, and the staff made it feel like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be returning. Highly recommend!
